Snow-Capped Squares
1 Cup (6 oz.) chocolate chips
1 Cup crushed chocolate “Nilla” wafers
3/4 Cup chopped pecans
1/2 Cup confectioners sugar
1/2 Cup sour cream
3/4 Cup coconut
Melt chocolate chips in a medium pan over low heat. Stir in crushed chocolate “Nilla" wafers, chopped pecans, confectioners sugar and sour cream. Spread in greased 9"x9" pan. Sprinkle with coconut. Press down slightly. Chill. Cut into 36 squares.

Chatelaine Directions (from stitching Room, pages & & 9)
1. Cut a piece of Bandalda (21/г" wide) 1 yard long.
2. Bottom of needlework should be stitched at least 3" above the bottom edge of the Bandaida.
3. When stitching is completed, take a tuck (approx. &" long)
on back side of chatelaine. This will make it rest easier on your neck.
4. Follow the hanger directions from page & to complete the end points.
5. Add chatelaine gold plated ends. Attach charms or scissors or your favorite needlework implements.

The cross stitch piece must be an original, stitched and designed by one person only. Use mainly cross stitch. 20% backstitch and half-stitch will be accepted. It must not exceed 400 square inches, excluding the frame. The piece of work should be ready to hang and not be covered with glass.
The finished cross stitch must be sent before March 15,1998.

Spool Heart Directions
1.	Paint the spool using a basic craft acrylic paint. Lightly steel wool  remove any rough edges. Give second coat & steel wool again.
2.	Cut finished verse to fit around spool. Tacky glue or tape to spool.
3.	Cut s/e" wood dowel 47г" long. Paint & glue into spool.
4.	Rip a 6" piece of remnant fabric & tie in a bow around wood dowel.
5.	Use one of the heart designs from page 22. Attach it to a Stik ’n’ Puff. Tacky glue to the wood dowel.
These make good table or windowsill decorations & party favorsl

1. After needlework is completed on perforated paper, cut the perforated paper into the finished shape. Follow the pattern on the chart to complete the design.
