Doorstop Directions
Using a plate (approximately 6”), trace around top half of nutcracker. With straight lines, continue down sides of nutcracker. Add 4” to bottom. Using nutcracker as pattern, cut another piece size) from velvet for backing. Stitch nutcracker and velvet (face to face) up
one side across top and down other side. Leave bottom open. Stuff with polyfil. In bottom-insert 1/2 fireplace brick for weight. Fold bottom under and stitch closed. Slipstitch gold cording and bow to finished piece.
