Today in my Blog, I'm talking about Baikonur Cosmodrome Museum. It's my favourite
museum in Kazakhstan. You can learn all about the life of cosmonauts and see
spacesuits and helmets! Outside the museum you can even see a full-size model of
the Soyuz spaceship and the Buran shuttle. I think the best thing is going inside the
Buran - you can sit in the cabin just like the pilot! Also, don't forget to visit the house
of cosmonaut Yuri Gagarin! If you come to Kazakhstan it's worth a visit!

Percy Spencer was born on July 9,1894, in Maine,
USA. He was a scientist who invented the microwave.
Percy's father died when he was a baby and after his
uncle also died, when he was seven, he had to leave
school and get a job. Every day Percy worked very hard
from the early morning till the end of the day to help
his family.
When he was 18 Percy joined the Navy. He was very
interested in electricity and science and taught himself
all about physics, chemistry and radio technology in the
evenings!
One day, during an experiment with microwaves, he
noticed that a chocolate bar in his pocket had melted.
Percy decided to experiment with different foods and
invented the microwave. The first microwave in 1947 was
nearly two metres tall and cost 5,000 dollars! He died on
September 8,1970, aged 76.

I saw two amazing robots today and I wanted to tell you all about them. One
is a cute little robot called PaPeRo. It hasn't got arms or legs but it has got
wheels. PaPeRo is very clever and understands what you say. It talks and moves
and does what you tell it to do. PaPeRo can even surf the Net! The other robot
is called ASIMO. ASIMO is bigger than PaPeRo and has got arms and legs like
a person. It can walk and dance and even climb up and down stairs! ASIMO
can understand body language and help you around the house. These

I had a great weekend. I went to visit the
Robotics Challenge in Kazakhstan. It's a
